Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade - Car Parking:

Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade believes that the variation in short-term car parking charges between a maximum of £1.10 per hour in the North of the county to no charge at all in the South East is an iniquitous imbalance. We are committed to lobbying Northumberland County Council to redress this imbalance with the greatest possible speed.

Whether parking is free, or whether we pay, parking charges in all principal shopping towns in Northumberland should be the SAME FOR ALL OF US.

We believe that a FAIR RATE for short-term car parking of 50p per hour should be charged in all of the County's principal shopping towns.
